My last day at EEP was a busy one. First, I sent Laura more notes and an updated powerpoint of my pitch. She did not have time to look it over and give me feedback before the presentation, but that's okay. I wouldn't have been able to make the changes anyway because (as I mentioned numerous times before) I am not aloud to work on my pitch at their headquarters. After sending Laura my updates, I spent the next couple of hours doing more research on Adam's second project. Eventually, the time came for Adam and Laura to debrief me on all the research I've done over the last few weeks. The debriefing had "mixed" results. Adam looked intrigued and pleased when I made certain points; but I learned that there were other points he wanted that I did not do research on. To not give too much information away, I basically did research on events as a whole, as opposed to the people who contributed to those events. On this day, I brought in new notes on my pitch, and showed them to Laura. She said it's an improvement, but it still needs work. The pieces are being put together, but it's far from finished. The rest of the day was more research on Adam's second project. We all knew this was my second to last day at EEP, so before I left, Adam and Laura told me that next time will consist of a debriefing of all my research, my pitch to them and Heather, and how I learned and grew throughout the summer.

Today, I started research on another project for Adam. Again, I'm not aloud to say what the project is about, but I will say I used the same books provided for me, and the Internet, for assistance. There's nothing to update on about my pitch because I just received Laura's feedback yesterday. I didn't have time to start fixing it yet at home. Other than the new research, I didn't do much else today.

For unknown reasons, Laura told me to take last week off (the week of July 30th). During this hiatus, I made good use of my time by developing my pitch. I put together the general storyline and its themes in Microsoft Word. Moreover, I designed the characters, the title, and its logo in Photoshop. While composing all this, I frequently looked back to Heather's pitching notes that I took earlier this summer. After that, I put everything together in Microsoft Powerpoint. However, because this isn't the final product, I didn't give each character a biography yet. I'm not going to describe the plot, characters, or themes of my pitch because it won't transcend if it is explained in text. There is no better way to describe a plot than through verbal and visual aid. Compared to text or not, that's how you win over the audience (I also don't want anyone who reads my blog to steal my idea).
